Yes, God, I heard you are seeking me. Just as soon as I ...............

Most of us are inclined to procrastinate. We have so much ‘busy-ness’ in our lives that we get proficient at putting things off until after we just do this or that. Because we seldom suffer any serious consequences in doing so, we tend to perpetuate the practice.

We might miss out on a sale and have to pay full price for something we want. We might miss a movie or a program and have to catch it when it comes again. Sometimes we might miss a train or bus and suffer the annoyance of a delayed arrival.

How many who are reading this are actually gambling with their eternal future? Even without reading God’s warnings we can see from the news that countless people will not have a tomorrow - for sudden death awaits many!

NOW is the time to say, "speak, Lord, I will listen." Open the scripture and He will speak to you by His word. A solid Bible-believing church or friend will gladly assist your understanding. The following will also attempt to do so.

The chorus of the Hymn, ‘One Day’ gives us a clear summary of what Jesus Christ has done for you and me. "Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; buried, He carried my sins far away; rising, He justified freely forever: One day He’s coming - oh glorious day" John 3:16 & 17 tells us that God so loved us that He sent His Son, not to condemn us, but to save us. One day he is coming back to take the children of God up to Heaven with glorious new bodies while those who reject Him, or don’t get around to obeying Him will be eternally separated from God.

Hopefully, you are asking, "how can I be saved and becoome a child of God." First, we need to realize our need to be saved. Romans 3:23 tells us, "that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 adds, "the wages of sin is death." Death, here, is defined as eternal separation from God!

Romans 5:8 gives us the reason for the Hymn ‘One Day’ - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." He paid our penalty! Romans 10:9 tells us what we need to do, "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 8:1 gives us this assurance, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (worldly pleasures), but according to the (Holy) Spirit."

Once you have Jesus in your heart and the Holy Spirit in you life, you are SAFE! Even if your present life is taken from you, you have a glorious future. Now go and tell others......
