The  Bible  In  Brief.

How it all began: Genesis 1:1 - “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  Genesis 1:27 adds, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”  Genesis 2:15-17 continues, “Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die’” Was Adam obedient?  Genesis 3:12 informs us, “Then the man said, ‘The woman who You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I did eat.”

We now have a fresh new world that is already stained by sin.

For centuries God then patiently taught men and women how to live properly.  However, time after time sin messed things up.  God had to resolve this problem.                                                        WHY and  HOW ?

John 3:16 answers, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  Romans 5:8 continues with, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:3, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.”

The picture now is completed by 1 Corinthians 15:22, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”

                                                       NOW WHAT ?

Life is full of choices - here you need to make the choice of following the rules of how to be saved and avail yourself of God’s riches, or go to the Hell of everlasting separation from God. If you’re willing, read on.

First, admit that you are a sinner.  Romans 3:23 tells you that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 6:23 adds, “The wages of sin is death.”  That is the spiritual separation already mentioned. To receive what Christ offered in Romans 5:8 above, Romans 10:9 says, “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  This is a gift that you cannot earn!  Ephesians 2:8,9 clarifies, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should  boast”

If you have bowed to the wishes of our loving God, you can go into the future rejoicing!  Romans 8:1 promises “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh (practice sinful pursuits), but according to the Spirit (guided by the Holy Spirit).”
