Are You Hiding From God ?

Do you frequent places where you do not expect God to be? Do you spend your time with those who don(t believe in God or at least they don(t want to deal with Him? Atheists are persons who do not believe God exists. Agnostics just don(t know if there is a God. Most people really know there is a God; but, many don(t want to deal with Him. All three groups are sinners. Romans 3:23 tells us that (all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Adam and Eve, the first humans, tried to hide from God not too long after they were created. Why? They disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil - no it wasnít an apple. Genesis, chapter 3. They now knew things like their disobedience were sinful; they were naked and thus covered certain areas with fig leaves, and then they tried to hide from God in the trees and bushes.

They did not succeed - nor can you! God is omnipresent (everywhere) and He is omniscient (all knowing); but, fortunately for you, He is a forgiving God to those who seek Him rather than hide from Him. The familiar verse, John 3:16, says that God loves the world (His creation, including you) and wants you to be saved and enjoy Him forever. You canít get a better deal than this!

Do you know what heaven will be like? The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:8, (eye has not seen, nor ears heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things, which God has prepared for those who love Him. We live in a world full of beauty and untold opportunities - yet even more awaits God(s children in eternal life. Logic will tell you that a God who can provide what we now have is most likely able to deliver on His promises. Doesnít it then make sense that you should want to be there too? But, how?

Romans 5:8 informs us what God(s Son from John 3:16 did: (While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Jesus paid sin(s penalty for His own. If you want to be a recipient of this, Romans 10:9 tells us that, (If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Once you are saved you are free from the need to hide from God. It may sound strange to you, but you actually want to seek Him and His guidance through life(s problems and bask in His loving care.

The Bible has much more on this good news.
